Paxrail is proud to announce the acquisition of our newest dome, the NP 557! Currently in the Pacific Northwest, this beautiful dome car will make its way east sometime in the fall. Fans of Paxrail’s two domes may see a few similarities, and you wouldn’t be wrong: the 557 is the identical sister car to our own Stampede Pass, the other CB&Q dome car used in pool service in North Coast Limited service.

We’re a few years away from offering you a ride on this particular dome- as you can see from its current condition the car will require quite a bit of love, but we’re excited to start work as soon as the car is stabilized and shipped from its current location!
